Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif decided to dedicate the first laptop distribution ceremony to the memory of Arfa Karim.He said "I hope and pray that our bright young stars are able to enhance their expertise in the field of Information Technology and follow the example or Arfa Karim to gain recognition for Pakistan, the world over".

He also Said"Good news for our bright young stars who are being awarded laptops is that I have decided to hold three distribution ceremonies in South of Punjab in the begining of February". The first ceremony is to be held on the 2nd of February at Rahim Yar Khan, followed by a ceremony at Multan on the 7th of February and finally at DG Khan on the 11th of February. We hope to complete the distribution process by the first week of March. Congratulations to our bright young stars. You are the future and merit is the key!
